Book Cover Images

For books, the display of result lists is very often enriched with cover illustrations. The images are (in this order of priority) either from the Open Library, from buchhandel.de or from Amazon.

The Open Library images are transferred via the Open Library API provided and in accordance with the guidelines applicable to it.

For the transfer of images from buchhandel.de the hbz has registered the DigiBib with the respective MVB Marketing- und Verlagsservice des Buchhandels GmbH.

the transfer of images from Amazon, the hbz became participant in the Amazon EU partner programme and a partner in the advertising programme the latter of which was designed to provide a medium for websites through which advertising costs can be earned by placing advertisements and links to amazon.co.uk / amazon.de / amazon.es / amazon.fr / amazon.it / amazon.nl / amazon.pl / amazon.se / audible.co.uk / audible.de.
